‘Churchill: Walking With Destiny’ by Andrew Roberts
This year’s speaker at the inaugural Evelyn Wrench lecture will be acclaimed historian and journalist Andrew Roberts. His biography of Sir Winston Churchill has enjoyed rave reviews. Through tantalising new sources, including the private diaries of King George VI, Roberts will paint a picture of former ESU Chairman Winston Churchill’s powerful sense of destiny and his belief in the central role of the English-speaking peoples in promoting Western civilisation.

19:00 Lecture begins followed by a Q&A and book signing
