The Moxon Street project, Marylebone Square, is now fully underway with Kier and progressing well – the main frame topped out in September and site works will be ongoing until late 2023.The Sunday Farmers Market has been relocated temporarily onto Aybrook Street for the duration of the site period. The developers have been running neighbourhood meetings. Discussions are ongoing in respect of how to use the new Community Hall on the southeast corner of the site given the Farmers Market decision not to take the space – the basement space is being considered for school use. An application has been submitted by Concord to change the planning use of the basement space from medical to part school and part retail - the loss of community space is contentious and we are concerned; the application maybe withdrawn to allow more time to resolve the issues at hand. 19 – 35 Baker Street by Michael Hopkins Architects, Derwent London and The Portman Estate; this is a £400m project that will comprise of 293,000 sqft of mixed use space (office, retail and residential).
