Six Portland Place Schools start Road Safety Petitions

20mph

Early this year Westminster City Council introduced 20 mph speed limit trials around some 40 schools. In Marylebone, the areas  being trialled are to the west of Gloucester Place and the top of Marylebone High Street. The six schools on Portland Place have started three petitions to improve safety and create a healthier and more pleasant environment. Your individual support would be most welcome.

Marylebone Library Consultation Process - Update

The first phase consultation to relocate the Marylebone library to the Seymour Leisure Centre closed on 18th March 2018. The Council are now reviewing the 90 responses they received and a report will be available in May. The most commonly asked questions were: about funding, access and the current nursery.

Galvin Bistro-de-Luxe - Closing down in Marylebone

It is with great regret and a heavy heart that Jeff and I must inform you that Galvin Bistrot de Luxe will cease trading on Saturday 10th February. This has not been an easy decision to make but has been taken predominantly due to many events outside our control which means we are no longer able to remain competitive on quality and price - our original goal - yet remain a viable business at the same time.

Portman Estate Honours VC Venteran
