Central Line not stopping at Tottenham Court Road from 3rd January

The Central line is to be closed off at Tottenham Court Road station in London for nearly a year starting January 2015, as the station is rebuilt and Crossrail is tied to it. Central Line trains will not be stopping at The station from Jnauary 3rd to around mid December, 2015.

Flexible travel is coming on Oyster and Contactless

From Friday 2 January 2015, the way "Pay as You Go" fares are capped will change. Daily capping can give part-time workers the best value when travelling up to 5 days a week using pay as you go on Oyster or contactless. Part-time workers can benefit from the same level of discounted travel as those using 7 Day Travelcards and Bus & Tram Passes. For more information, please visit tfl.gov.uk/newfares

Traffic & City Management Six Month Report

The most significant development during the past six months has been Transport for London's improved signage to reinforce the left turn ban from Marylebone Road into Marylebone High Street. We are all aware of how dangerous this junction became to pedestrians a year ago and TfL's continued insistence that nothing more could be done looks very hollow now that they have made the changes that the Association requested. Further work on the junction will take place early next year. Also, the manufacturers of SatNavs need to ensure that they have robust updating systems so that motorists are not advised to make illegal turns.
