Idling Vehicles -Drivers liable to Fixed Penalty Notice after May 1st

Residents will be pleased that Westminster Traffic Marshalls are advising motorists about the impact idling has on pollution, noise and health. From 1 May they will be able to issue a £20 Fixed Penalty Notice to anyone who refuses to turn off their engine when requested.

Following a review, Transport for London is proposing that bus routes 13 and N13 will no longer run, but there will be extensions and enhancements to routes 82, 113, 139  and 189. Baker Street Two Way System  - Balcombe Street Update

We are pleased to learn that the option to use Balcombe Street as a right turn for southbound traffic onto Marylebone Road has been dropped from the Two-way scheme planning. This follows initial representations by the Association and the St Marylebone Society reinforced by comments from the North Marylebone Traffic Group. Consultation on other options will begin in the next few weeks.

Central Line not stopping at Tottenham Court Road from 3rd January

The Central line is to be closed off at Tottenham Court Road station in London for nearly a year starting January 2015, as the station is rebuilt and Crossrail is tied to it. Central Line trains will not be stopping at The station from Jnauary 3rd to around mid December, 2015.
