Do you want Superfast Fibre Broadband in Marylebone? Then express your interest!

Westminster, including Marylebone has one of the lowest levels of coverage anywhere in London for superfast broadband! This is despite it being the borough with the highest concentration of jobs provided by SMEs employing 1-10 people and a supposed centre for creative industries, let alone a quarter of a million citizens! It almost seems a national disgrace that the centre of the capital city in terms of Westminster and City has the worst percentage coverage. Now it is time to have your say.

Marylebone Forum - Initial Meeting Held

MF-Meeting-25FebThe inaugural meeting of the Marylebone Forum was held on the 25th February at International Students House and got off to an excellent start with a packed hall of around nearly 200 attendees. The 6 members of the Forum panel addressed the meeting on various matters of current interest such as the various stages of the Forum, what it could do, the funding that it could bring with it and why they felt it should be supported. There followed a vigorous question and answer session that amongst other things revealed the need for further work with Forum members on the purposes of the Forum and the concept of neighbourhood planning. It was emphasised that the purposes of the Forum were specific and defined and it did not replace either of the amenity societies which continued to operate independently and were able to directly reflect residents interests.

Charges for toilets in the Royal Parks will begin on 23 March. The price will be 20p, but toilets in the cafes will remain free as will accessible facilities and those for children in the playgrounds.
