Marylebone Community Choir - Fancy singing with them ?

Marylebone Community Choir - Fancy singing with them ?

The Marylebone Community Choir is a non-auditioned choir who sing a mix of pop and gospel music and rehearse once a week on Tuesday evenings in Marylebone. They teach music by ear so you don't need to be able to read music (although you are welcome if you do!) and they perform regularly at events across London. Previous performances include performing at the Big Sing event at the Southbank Centre, a flashmob at Marylebone station, a joint concert with another community choir, to raise money for charity, several pop-up performances at the 2015 Marylebone Summer Fayre and two weddings (and counting!).

Petition to save local pub in Marylebone

Petition to save local pub in Marylebone

The pub is listed in several CAMRA guides and is registered by Westminster Council as an 'unlisted building of merit'.

Ed Barton, Manager of Waitrose Marylebone High Street for many years, will be leaving us this month to open an exciting new project for Waitrose, not too far away. A warm-hearted, community-spirited man, Ed has always been a good friend to the Marylebone Association and other local organisations. He has helped us on many occasions - providing Waitrose vouchers each year to help us attract new members at the Fayre, stepping in with wine for our 80 guests when we had a venue but no refreshments for one of our early business members' events, etc. How he found time to think of others when he was always so busy was amazing.

Marylebone Lives - A book on the people, places, and events that have helped shape the character of Marylebone

Marylebone Lives - A book on the people, places, and events that have helped shape the character of Marylebone

Marylebone has been home to its fair share of rogues, villains and eccentrics, and their stories are told here. The authors also want to remind the reader that alongside the glamour of Society, there has also been hardship and squalor in the parish, as was graphically illustrated in Charles Booth's poverty maps of London in 1889.
