Marylebone Community Choir - Fancy singing with them ?

The Marylebone Community Choir is a non-auditioned choir who sing a mix of pop and gospel music and rehearse once a week on Tuesday evenings in Marylebone. They teach music by ear so you don't need to be able to read music (although you are welcome if you do!) and they perform regularly at events across London. Previous performances include performing at the Big Sing event at the Southbank Centre, a flashmob at Marylebone station, a joint concert with another community choir, to raise money for charity, several pop-up performances at the 2015 Marylebone Summer Fayre and two weddings (and counting!).

Petition to save local pub in Marylebone

The Swan and Edgar was a local pub that was a fixture in the community for nearly 150 years. Laying claim as the smallest pub in London, this rare and characterful 'back street boozer' was known as 'The Feathers' and then the 'Swan and Edgar'. It is located at 43 Linhope Street, London NW1 6LH, tucked between the busy Marylebone and Baker Street stations. The pub is listed in several CAMRA guides and is registered by Westminster Council as an 'unlisted building of merit'.

Christian Union Almshouses - Vacancy for Part Time Clerk to the Trustees

The Clerk provides professional, well informed support for the Chairman and Trustees in their management of the Christian Union Almshouses, attending the Almshouses weekly, creating and maintaining all records, and liaising with suppliers, contractors, residents and professional advisors. The Charity has 12 self-contained flats which are well maintained. The successful applicant will be able to keep the Almshouses' accounts and other records and will be able to relate to elderly residents, contractors and trustees. He /she will be expected to have, or be able to acquire, a working knowledge of the relevant housing and other legislation and regulations. The work load is approximately two days a week of which half a day a week will be spent at the Almshouses. The job would suit an experienced clerk / administrator or social housing manager. The fee is dependent upon experience.
