With our Planning Chair, Neil Wilson, and Cllr Karen Scarborough I attended a meeting at St Vincent's Primary School to hear their concerns over the Moxon Street development. There are already traffic safety concerns around the school, some of which may be addressed soon, but it is essential that the new plans do not exacerbate the situation.

Baker Street Subway Gates Now Operational

Baker Street Subway Gates Now Operational

The subways gates are  will be operational at night from the 12th Januaery 2015.. Project 'Wonderpass' continues, with the newly-fitted subway gates  being closed between the hours of 8:30pm and 5am daily, with a view to closing them later in the future. The gates will deter misuse and anti-social behaviour. The overall aim is to transform the subway into an attractive, well lit facility that encourages all to use and enjoy it as an alternative to the Marylebone Road pedestrian crossing. This is the first step and further works to transform the subway into the 'Wonderpass' are planned to start in spring 2015.

Baker Street Subway Improvements Commence 8th December

A major project for Baker Street Quarter Partnership (BSQP) is the exciting regeneration of the subway with an improved facility, affectionately dubbed the 'Wonderpass'. The subway is currently under-utilised and BSQP aim to create a space for all to enjoy, encouraging people to make use of it as an alternative to the busy Marylebone Road pedestrian crossing.
