Marylebone - Pedestrianisation of St Vincent's Street

One local pedestrianisation scheme we can all support is the closure of St Vincent's Street (outside St Vincent's Primary School). The closure will occur late this month. The long term benefits are to be welcomed especially by the school making the area safer for school children. Unfortunately, you will probably see construction work on the street for some time as development work to 110 St Vincent's Street is likely to occur in the near future.

Marylebone - Charge your electric vehicle at a lamp post!

Marylebone - Charge your electric vehicle at a lamp post!

Dozens of Marylebone's lamp-posts have been fitted with electric car chargers by Berlin company Ubitricity. Air marshals will target delivery drivers, taxis and members of the public who fail to turn their engines off when they pull to the side of the road if they refuse to do so they will be fined.

Tall Buildings- A Changing Environment

Tall Buildings- A Changing Environment

Westminster Council’s policy approach to tall buildings was, until recently, informed by a High Buildings Study which was undertaken in 2001. This was opened up slightly by the 2015 City Plan Revision, but even that concluded that the most appropriate location for tall buildings was the Paddington Opportunity Area and identified very limited scope for new tall buildings in the rest of Westminster, due to the settled character of the ‘townscape’ and significant concentration of heritage assets.
