Baker Street Two-way Scheme - Next Steps

Baker Street Two-way Scheme - Next Steps
Westminster City Council has given approval for the Baker Street Two-way Scheme to go to detailed design. There will be a further public consultation on parking and loading proposals which are being drawn up. Following the second consultation on the scheme there is also a plan to move the proposed cycle lanes from Gloucester Place, north of Marylebone Road, to Melcombe Street, Glentworth Street and Balcombe Street. Further details can be found in the letter below and the links within.

I would like to thank all those who have contributed to the second round of public consultation earlier this year for the Baker Street and Gloucester Place Two Way project, through which we sought views on the proposed changes to the initial designs that were consulted on in 2015.

We are hugely grateful to those that have taken part in this second public consultation, with over 500 responses received on a range of topics including perceived traffic congestion, impact on residential streets, air quality and the proposed cycling facilities. The results of this second public consultation are presented in full in our response report.
