Yesterday (19th October), Westminster City Council, along with local business and residential representatives met in a panel discussion to talk about how Westminster can move towards being a greener city. Westminster City Council Planning committee yesterday approved the planning application at 141 and 143 Harley Street and 28 and 29 Devonshire Mews West,London, W1 which will  become the home for the first Proton Beam Therapy Unit in London.

The demolition of Marble Arch Tower to make way for the new Marble Arch Place London building continues at a pace. The developers have issued their latest newsletter with details of the demolition progress. There is also video on the developer's web site showing how the building will look on the London Skyline. Seymour Centre New Premise License Application – Have your say

Neighbouring residents around the Seymour Leisure Centre are very concerned by a recent 'New Premises' licensing application which if granted could see the Leisure Centre used to host events any night of the week.  Not only would this result in a loss of community sports facilities but would also result in considerable late night noise and disturbance. The new operator Everyone Active which won the contract from the Council to operate the facility earlier this year has applied for a license to hold events for up-to 1,300 people.  Events appear to already have been booked. The “Ring of Honor” Wrestling event is being advertised for on Sunday 20th November and “Big Fight” Boxing on Saturday 10th October.  Further marketing of venue is already underway on their website http://everyoneevents.com/ee-venues/seymour-leisure-centre/
