Baker Street Two Way System  - Balcombe Street Update

We are pleased to learn that the option to use Balcombe Street as a right turn for southbound traffic onto Marylebone Road has been dropped from the Two-way scheme planning. This follows initial representations by the Association and the St Marylebone Society reinforced by comments from the North Marylebone Traffic Group. Consultation on other options will begin in the next few weeks.

Marylebone Forum - Initial Meeting Held

Marylebone Forum - Initial Meeting Held

MF-Meeting-25FebThe inaugural meeting of the Marylebone Forum was held on the 25th February at International Students House and got off to an excellent start with a packed hall of around nearly 200 attendees. The 6 members of the Forum panel addressed the meeting on various matters of current interest such as the various stages of the Forum, what it could do, the funding that it could bring with it and why they felt it should be supported. There followed a vigorous question and answer session that amongst other things revealed the need for further work with Forum members on the purposes of the Forum and the concept of neighbourhood planning. It was emphasised that the purposes of the Forum were specific and defined and it did not replace either of the amenity societies which continued to operate independently and were able to directly reflect residents interests.
